Real Estate Phase One

Condominium Canal d'Alsace

Canal d'Alsace is planned as a themed street channel 45 feet wide as known from Strasbourg and other towns of Alsace (France), embedded mainly in Craystone Cove, and connected to Canton Lake.
The north side of the channel will be served by a part of the rack railroad loop with a station near house 46.
The south side of the channel will be Boulevard d'Alsace, a pedestrians zone with numerous commercial venues, such as street cafes, ice cream parlors, specialty retail, boutiques, delicacy stores, souvenir shops, confectioneries, or artists' studios, which shall use a part of the street space between the houses and the channel as well.
The channel itself is needed as a rain water collector, and will have an overflow into Happy Hollow Ravine.
The channel will be a part of the waterway system, connecting all tourism attractions onsite.

The gable houses will have a back entry with stairwell and elevator for the owners of the condominium apartments, keeping their privacy. The back entries will provide for a walkout to the slope system.
The street entries are intended for commercial purposes only. The condominium apartment of the second story should ideally belong to the owner/leaseholder of the commercial venue at street level.

Canal d'Alsace will belong to those tourism attractions in Canton Wintersports Center, which every visitor desires to see. We expect up to 75,000 passers-by on a good weekend day.

The setting requires a permission of the Army Corps of Engineers; therefore, Canal d'Alsace will be the latest subdivision in Phase One and the most challenging interface to Phase Two. Construction will not begin before early 2009.

Parking for the owners will be provided in the facilities in Hominy Valley, connected with the rack railroad loop, and in the Wintersports Stadium, for buildings 1 through to 20.
Regular car access will be provided from behind and above only; however, the boulevard will be open at commercial grade for delivery in the early morning hours.

At this time, the spaces for the condominium apartments are known from the model (see Purchasers' List for available spaces); however, we plan a standard layout with far-reaching design opportunities for the owner. We intend to employ for every house another architect in order to keep the idea of a neighborhood built over ages.

Canal d’Alsace will feature 309 condominium apartments.
